Conference Overview

Tuesday, October 11	Asterisk Developers' Meeting: A meeting for all active and prospective Asterisk developers, the Asterisk Developer Summit includes a review of the current state of the Asterisk code-base, a brain-storming session, Q & A with project leaders, and more. Meet Asterisk: A one day introductory seminar for Asterisk beginners. Meet Asterisk! provides an overview of the features, functions and applications of Asterisk. It includes detailed information about Asterisk 1.2, the new version. Conference sessions begin at 9.00 AM.
Wednesday, October 12	Tutorials: The event will open with a day of in-depth tutorials, presented by some of the most knowledgeable Asterisk administrators and developers. This one-day power tour of Asterisk is a must-do for any aspiring Asterisk users. Three tracks are offered, including offerings for beginners, intermediate users, and Asterisk gurus. Attendees are free to go between tracks, as long as there are seats available. Tutorial session begins at 9.00 AM
	Reception: On the evening of the Wednesday, the conference opens with a welcome reception for all conference attendees. The evening of the 12th will also mark the opening of the Astricon Exhibition, an exhibition of Asterisk-related products and services. The exhibits will remain open through the welcome reception. During the reception we will also open the Asterisk Solutions Showcase, a part of the exhibition dedicated to Asterisk-related Open Source projects.
Thursday, October 13	Conference: The first day of the conference is divided in three tracks: Asterisk for Business Solutions Asterisk for Service Providers/Carriers Asterisk for Call/Contact Centers Conference session begins at 8.30 AM. Exhibition open all day.

Friday, October 14	Conference: The General Conference opens on the 14th and will be kicked off by a keynote from Mark Spencer of Digium. The day will include addresses from a number of professional Asterisk and VoIP speakers. Mark Spencer founder and president of Digium will be giving a keynote address on the past, present and future of Asterisk. Mark began working on Asterisk in 1999 when he launched Linux Support Services (now Digium). He is the main contributor to Asterisk and the Digium hardware that supports Asterisk in connections to the PSTN. Conference session begins at 8:30 AM and ends 5:30 PM. Exhibition open all day.
