September 22 |
Tutorials:
The event will open with a day of in-depth tutorials, presented by
some of the most knowledgeable Asterisk administrators and developers.
This one-day power tour of Asterisk is a must-do for any aspiring
Asterisk users.
Three tracks are offered, including offerings for beginners, intermediate
users, and Asterisk gurus. Attendees are free to go between tracks,
as long as there are free seats available. |

Reception: On the evening of the
wednesday, the conference opens with a welcome reception for all conference
attendees. The evening of the 22nd will also mark the opening of the
first Asterisk Trade Show, an exhibition of Asterisk-related products
and services. The exibits will remain open throught the welcome reception. |
Thursday,
September 23 |
Conference:
The Conference opens on the 23rd and will be kicked off by a keynote
from Mark Spencer of Digium. The day will include addresses from
a number of professional Asterisk and VoIP speakers.
Mark Spencer founder and president of Digium will be giving
a keynote address on the past, present and future of Asterisk. Mark
began working on Asterisk in 1999 when he launched Linux Support
Services (now Digium). He is the main contributor to Asterisk and
the Digium hardware that supports Asterisk in connections to the
PSTN.
David Beckemeyer, a distinguished research fellow and senior
scientist at EarthLink, will present an address on the future of
telecommunications, including the roles of Asterisk and SIP. |

September 24 |
Asterisk
Developers' Meeting: The third day of
the conference is a developer meeting. This marks the first high level
face-to-face for many of the key deveopers working on the project.
The meeting will be a combination round-table discussion and formal
proposal presentation. |
